TJ Hernandez was a guest judge on the show. My first new client, from the new shop(I have been keeping very busy with my regular clientele), just happened to be a cover up. The piece to be covered was a classic arm band from when the client was 18years old. When people think of the word “cover up” they assume that the old tattoo will be just that, covered up, when in fact we are just disguising  the old piece. The idea behind a cover-up is to draw the viewers eye away from the existing piece and out to the new addition. Most covers must be about 75% larger than the old piece to effectively draw attention away from them.
